Are the treatments suitable for children?

Yes. The treatments are suitable for children. However, it is always advisable to consult with our Ayurveda doctor. Remember, the consultation with our Ayurveda Doctor is free.

What Happens when I visit your centre for the first time?

You would be requested to register and to submit some basic details about your self, ailments, symptoms and / or the reason for your visit.

Who would see me during the consultation?

Our qualified Ayurveda Doctor will see you to assess you.

Can I have a bath/wash hair prior to treatment?

No need for it. Normally, after most massages you need to shower. We have the facilities at the Centre

Can I use scented soaps/moisturisers prior to the treatment?

As most treatments involves massages with herbal oils you may wish to apply these after the shower when your massage is completed. Our Ayurveda Doctor will also advice you on the right kinds of soaps & moisturisers if you have issues with your skin.

What should I wear on the day of the treatment? Do I need to be naked? Can I keep my underwear on?

We would provide with you with suitable disposable underwear. You can wear something comfortable when you come to our Centre.

Can I request that my treatment is conducted by a male/female so I feel more comfortable?

Ayurveda, as practised here is in its pure form. Therefore, only male therapists will massage male customers & female therapists will massage female customers. This is also in order to make our customers more comfortable.

Are the therapists professionally qualified / certified?

Yes. All Therapists have received comprehensive training in Ayurveda from recognised training colleges in Kerala, "The Home of Ayurveda". In addition they have several years of experience in providing massage therapy & customer care.

Why do some of the treatments require 2 therapists?

This is the pure way to provide massage therapy under Ayurvedic principles..

Would I be monitored during the massage therapy?

You will be guaranteed complete privacy during your massages. Our therapists will be briefed by the doctor regarding the type of massage and duration of the massage. They will also keep the doctor informed of your progress. The doctor will be available for advice and queries and will assess you as the treatment progresses.

Are there any side effects from any of the treatments using Ayurvedic herbs?

The Ayurveda Doctor, will advice you on the effects, if any, of the herbs.

How can I pay if I do not want to pay online?

You can call us on 01252 523 222 and pay over the phone with major credit cards. Or you can pay us by cash or cheque. These will be accepted only with a valid cheque card.

Do I pay for treatments booked online when I arrive at the Centre?

You will be required to pay a deposit or pay in full so that we can reserve the slot for you.

Can I place a deposit for treatments booked online and pay the full amount on the day of the treatment?

Certainly. You can book online. We will send a confirmation of the booking. You will have to re-confirm this by paying online or calling us & paying over the phone.

What happens if I forget my password?

Will my personal information and details be made available to other 3rd parties as is the normal practise with commercial websites?

Absolutely not! We will not divulge your details to any 3rd party. Confidentiality is our promise to all our customers

Are your products available for purchase outside the UK ?

Yes. We deliver anywhere in the world.

What do I do if I develop adverse reactions to any of the products/treatments purchased?

Don't hesitate to inform us immediately. Our Ayurveda doctor will treat you.

Have the products been tested on animals?

No. We do not deal in products that have been tested on animals. All our products are herbal based. The oils & herbs formulae are many centuries old.

Can I have products delivered to an address different from the billing address?

No problem. We can deliver to most addresses in the world.

Can I book treatments as a gift for someone else or will they need to book it themselves?

They need to book themselves, as we need verification of personal details.

What are the incentives to refer a friend?

You will become a Friend of Herbal Ayur and in addition to many other offers you will receive a £5 voucher you can gift or use yourself. This is on condition that your friend uses our services and spends more than £50 on their first visit.

Can I purchase gift vouchers?
